This well-known, long-established Blackpool-based coach operator went into Members’ Voluntary Liquidation (a liquidation process in which all known creditors are paid in full) as a result of the controlling Abbott family’s desire to retire.
The on-site sale of the total fleet of 21 coaches plus ancillary assets drew over 1,000 people. The coaches were sold for excellent prices and was praised by the vendors, attendees and the trade press.

The Bassett family decided to end coach operations after 54 years to concentrate on their other activities, and instructed Robson Kay to handle the disposal.
The on-site auction again attracted in excess of 1,000 people realising exceptional prices.
